Millie de Fleur - Ornamental Breed
One of the highlights on our little farm is Millie.
She is a bantam Millie de Fleur. They have a very unique color pattern and feathers on the legs. She has been a good broody hen, hatching out about 1 clutch per year.
This is her when she was about 3 months old.
They lay small white eggs, and have quite the little personality. Since they are so small, they are ideal in a enclosed coop setting or in an urban environment. Since their eggs are so small, I like to say that on average 2 of her eggs equals 1 regular egg.
They do ok in a large lot, we started with 2 and one ended up being dog-eaten when she was about a year old.
