New Breed to the Flock - Silver Laced Wyandotte
I can not go a spring without getting some new chicks. It is a sickness, sadly there is no cure.
There are 3 that I am adding. The first being a few Silver Laced Wyandotte.
They are a dual-purpose breed, meaning they are used both for egg laying and for meat. We typically butcher our extra roosters, so I wanted to add some genetics for bigger chickens. They also lay a brown egg, about 200 eggs per year. Wyandottes also tend to go broody, meaning more chicks for me! Not to mention their beautiful pattern!
