Pallet Fence

Need a cute fence that doesn't cost much? Ever thought of making it out of pallets?

We have been doing a lot of cross fencing on the farm to help keep our critters safe.

If you are anything like me, you get tired of looking at the same wire fencing over and over.

I wanted something to add a little character to the place, but without much cost.

Pallets are an inexpensive way to add that character. When looking for pallets, make sure you look for some in the same style and in good condition. There are several different types of pallets out there and you need to keep the same theme going.

Once you get the pallets, place a post every 2 pallets to keep the fence straight. The pallets can be screwed directly to the posts. Place a small piece of wood between the pallets to hod them together as an anchor.

Once the pallets are up, place chicken wire on the backside to keep little creatures from slipping through the slats. Make the top of the wire even with the pallet and string tightly. The excess wire on the bottom can be buried to help discourage digging.

Still a bit of work needed on cleaning up the lot area, but we are making progress!
