Blessing of the pets and Farmer's Market

Saturday's farmer's market involved a special treat, the blessing of the pets.
This is a tradition in the Christian faith in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi. A fair amount of Socorro turned out with all their little doggy pals, even the hopeful humane society turned out with potential adoptions. And before you ask, no, we did not come home with another pet. Sadly, all they had was small dogs.
Oppi did get to have a fun day playing with all the other dogs. We are all going to start petition TECH to put in a dog park. The city has turned it down, but maybe the school will have a different outlook.
