New Girth, New Ride
I was finally able to get a new girth for the Australian Saddle. I had been putting off ordering one from online because I hate trying to return things online. Luckily, one of the people I met at the expo said that she had an extra girth at the house and that she would bring it to me. She did and so I was finally able to try it yesterday.
Sadly, this girth is a little small so I will still need to get another one. Luckily, I was able to actually try it out this time. The saddle rides pretty well, but I have some adjustments to make. Where the stirrup buckles are pinches my thighs, so I have contacted a saddle maker to see about how to fix this. It may be as simple as getting a bigger over-girth (The wider strip of leather hanging on the saddle).
Overall, the saddle rides really well. I like the ability to still post my trot and the loose stirrups allow my legs to swing freely making them less tired. Looking forward to getting it all situated and making it my new trail saddle!
