New Garden Plot
It is spring!! We are getting the new garden plot all set up. We are actually running a little behind time wise, we should be planting out here in about a month and we need time for the soil to settle a bit.
There has been a big push at the farmer's market to have more produce, so we are going to be doubling our gardening area.
We have decided to place the new garden plot on the other side of the farm, that way hopefully the chickens will leave it alone.
We are going to keep the original garden plot to hold herbs and potatoes. The new plot will hold the rest of our produce. We were able to fill the plot about 1/2 way with all compost made on the farm.
We are also going to be swapping some pullets for some old hay to try and do straw bale gardening with and more composting.
We were also able to get the railroad ties for the borders by trading some of our rabbit babies.
